| Hello everyone! As you all know, I'm a big fan of singles battling, and I'm also a big fan of trying really unfair video game challenges. So it's natural that I should enjoy the Battle Maison. I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we could talk about singles battling and try to find our favorite teams, the ones that work well, and the surprising ones. I will constantly update the original post with each team I try and their corresponding streaks, and I would encourage you to do the same. Some of the best ones I'll add to the op. I will also have a section with tips and tricks as well, which will be full of things to remember when going for that elusive streak. So go ahead and post! Post your team, your Pokemon, or your tips! All I ask is that you use a spoiler tag to hide the teams and Pokemon, because that could get long. Also, use my Pokemon set for a guide on how to format and post in team order. Note: if you all would like, we can make a Battle Maison section, and have a thread for each style. Let me know! Teams- Mega mom team 1: 84 Wins:
Kangaskhan @ Kangaskhanite Scrappy (Parental Bond) Adamant nature 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe -Return -Earthquake -Sucker Punch -Power-up Punch The lead, the finisher, the team. Super broken, and will steamroll almost anything. Parental Bond acts as a segmented choice band, and Power-up Punch acts as a 70 base power Swords Dance. Gliscor @ Toxic Orb Poison Heal Impish nature 208 HP / 252 Def / 48 Spe -Substitute -Protect -Toxic -Earthquake Old reliable. There will be things you just can't beat, in those cases, just stall them out. Can't tell you how many times this thing saved me. I actually completely stalled myself out of PP once, because I couldn't damage the Pokemon, so I could get to struggle, which I won with because Poison Heal kept me alive to hit 4 struggles. Azumarill @ Assault Vest Huge Power Adamant Nature 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd -Aqua Jet -Waterfall -Play Rough -Power-up Punch Can't be a good team without an Assault Vest user. Azumarill meshes with the other two really well. It gives reliable priority, and a way to boost attack in Power-up Punch. The glue. I actually didn't lose the 85th battle. I closed the 3DS and the game must've gotten jarred because it gave me an error. It could have kept going.
- Mega Lucario Team 1: 77 wins:
Garchomp @ Life Orb Rough Skin Jolly Nature 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe -Earthquake -Outrage -Stone Edge - Stealth RockEveryone should invest in a Garchomp. Seriously. They are that good. Just a powerhouse, and exactly what you want tearing as far into the opposing team as it can. It's nice because having him as a hazard setter doesn't waste a spot on the team. If you have a really good advantage on the opponent, don't kill it, lay down Stealth Rock, then kill it. Stealth Rock sounds ridiculous on 3v3, but I explain it down below, you should take a look. Lucario @ Lucarionite Justified (Adaptability) Jolly Nature 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe -Close Combat -Bullet Punch -Crunch -Swords Dance This is the guy that kills everything Garchomp doesn't. In the Battle Maison, the CPU will almost never send out a Flying/Dragon with Garchomp leading, so Ice Punch isn't a good idea, but if you don't carry Crunch, they will bombard you with Water/Psychic types. With Adaptability, never use Crunch unless Bullet Punch and Close Combat are not very effective AND Crunch is super effective. So if only one of those is true, Close Combat will still outdamage Crunch. Gengar @ Focus Sash Levitate Focus Sash 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe -Shadow Ball -Focus Blast -Disable -Protect I know what you're thinking. I chose Gengar because of Lucario's weakness to fighting. Nope. Ok, well, for his weakness to Ground. Nope. I chose Gengar solely for one thing. Walrein. There is a Walrein floating around that I won't explain here, but you should look it up. With Protect over Substitute, and a Focus Sash, he can somewhat reliably take down that Walrein. Plus those other things actually did factor in, as they are very good for when the other two get taken down. I actually misclicked a Swords Dance when a Crunch could have given me a really good chance to win the 78th battle. Probably should have been higher. Tips and Tricks - Cloyster :
Cloyster is my personal weapon of choice when it comes to Battle Chatelaine Nita. It is just the standard set: Cloyster @ Focus Sash Ability: Skill Link EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Jolly/Naive Nature - Shell Smash - Icicle Spear - Rock Blast - Ice Shard/Hydro Pump The set could look like this: Cloyster @ Focus Sash Ability: Skill Link EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Shell Smash - Icicle Spear - - That is all you need. Use Shell Smash on the first one, and you'll outspeed that Scarfed Landorus by just a smidgen. They have no priority moves, and the only thing that could spoil you would be an Extrasensory Flinch, which won't happen because the CPU will always opt for the super effective Focus Blast, or a Prankster Double Team from Tornadus, but again, they opt for the super effective move.
- Stealth Rock:
It sounds silly, but nothing is immune to them, and they serve as a guaranteed Sash/Sturdy breaker for the last two Pokemon. And hopefully your lead is able to dent at least one Pokemon to break their Sash/Sturdy. It's useful because the only time you don't need to get rid of Focus Sash and Sturdy is for Mega Kangaskhan and Skill Link users.

| My current plan is to get to 50 wins with a lot of different teams. I just got to 77 with one today. | |

| For Super Singles, I change teams when I reach 40+. I use a standard team for the early rounds. Then shift to the Truant team. My Super Singles streak still stands at 50 in X and AS. No plans continuing past that. - Early Rounds:
Froslass @ Focus Sash Snow Cloak Timid nature 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe - Thunder Wave - Hex - Hail - Frost Breath
This is probably the "unique" option here but worked well for me. Thunder Wave + Hex combo is great. When there's a ground type, Frost Breath for the critical hit. Hail is there for evasion shenanigans.
Greninja @ Expert Belt Protean Timid nature 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe - HP Fire - Ice Beam - Scald - Dark Pulse
Kangaskhan @ Kangaskhanite Scrappy (Parental Bond) Jolly nature 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe - Fake Out - Power-Up Punch - Sucker Punch - Crunch
- Truant Team:
Durant @ Choice Scarf Truant Jolly nature 4 SpD / 252 HP / 252 Spe - Entrainment - Crunch - Iron Head - X-Scissor
The rest are just filler seriously. Durant's job is to pass Truant.
Dragonite @ Leftovers Multiscale Jolly nature 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe - Dragon Dance - Thunder Punch - Dragon Claw - Protect
Salamence or Gyarados (both with D-Dance) are also good options. After several boosts, even those that resist its moves will faint.
Volcarona @ Focus Sash Flame Body Timid nature 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe - Quiver Dance - Protect - Fiery Dance - Bug Buzz
This is the special sweeper in case the AI switches to a physically defensive Pokémon.
The Truant method isn't for everyone. Sure, it's a gimmick but still works and requires tons of time/patience (unless you turn off animation). Rarely, the AI will hard-switch after Truant, which would require you to adapt and switch as well. They very very rarely hard-switch the second time.

| Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Truant team, it's a proven method that works. I want to find other potent combos.
I like the Froslass though, I almost used it in my current team but that is an awesome set.

| Thanks for posting guys. I love reading teams and guides like these, so keep posting and you will have at least one avid reader. Here is a singles team I tried two times, each time getting exactly 30 wins. - My original team:
Charizard @ Charizardite X Blaze (Tough Claws) Jolly nature 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe -Flare Blitz -Dragon Claw -Dragon Dance -Earthquake
Dance and sweep, one of the best there is (IMO)
Scrafty @ Assault Vest Intimidate Careful nature 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD -Drain Punch -Knock Off -Power-up Punch -Ice Punch
The typical lead for this team. Underrated AV user, and surprisingly, I did not see many fairy counters (usually Gardevoir if any.)
Gengar @ Black Sludge Levitate Timid nature 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe -Shadow Ball -Will-o-wisp -Taunt -Substitute
I like this set more outside of the maison. Taunt was not as helpful as I hoped, even as a lead. Probably the LVP of this team (sadly.)

| Hey, I never underrate Assault Vest users.
I've wanted to try the Careful Charizard X set from PokeaimMD, that seems like it would work really well in battle spot.
