Do Rock Climb instead of Take Down. They are the exact same move, but one hurts you and one has a confusion chance. Other than that, maybe an Impish nature? Jolly could be useful too, on the first turn, because on the Spikes set you don't have room for Protect.

It gets Rock Climb as a Level Up move.

Above set looks fine though I sometimes see these w/o any offensive moves to solely BP and nothing else so maybe a Defensive nature can be useful.

An edit that no one shall ever see had Rock Climb as an egg move lol. Also, I clearly use Scolipede differently. It is a check for fire, rock, and steel pokemon on my mono-bug team with EQ and no baton pass or spikes... Very Happy Otherwise, Heatran is pure evil
